| Our last day We decided to hang out at the camp grounds today. The kids played at the beach, Zac caught a lizard he promptly named Gieco and a hermit crab. In the afternoon we hit the pool and then went out and found a Chili's for dinner.
We were thinking about staying a day or two longer but the weather does not look good so we're packing up and heading home in the morning.
All in all our first camping trip in the new camper went well and we're already talking about taking it out over Memorial Day weekend! ** I'm posting this two days later because I was having trouble getting online the last two days camping.

And finally the SUN! We quickly packed the kids and went to the beach and stayed the whole day! Here are some pics of our day at the beach.

| The morning started off the same as yesterday, only we were very tired because of the thunder storms the night before. The winds were pretty strong and there were a couple of times we were getting concerned that they might damage the camper. The rain stopped sometime mid-morning and it did warm up some, although the clouds remained most of the day. We packed the kids and sand toys in the car anyway and went to the nearest beach. The surf was too rough to get into the water deeper than your ankles, but we had fun playing in the sand and water. We stayed until about 3:00 PM when a pretty dense fog bank rolled in. On the ride home we realized that, even though we put sun block, we all got a little sun burnt with no sun out at all. The campground sponsored a Karaoke night at the pool house. We walked by, thinking maybe it might be fun to stop in. In the spirit of "not saying anything if you don't have something nice to say," it would have been rude for us to go in. | | |
| Rain, Rain and more Rain. We bought some board games, found a mall, colored in coloring books, and finally went to McDonalds for icecream and playland! Hopefully, tomorrow we can get some beach time! | | |
| Well it was still very cool yesterday, but the camper was toasty with it's little heater. Here's our camp site and the view from the front door of our camper.
Sam and I played some wiffleball, while Sophie and Zac played in the sand in the morning until it got too cold for them. Sam and Sophie then engaged in their favorite activity.
Zac is really good at making new friends. He really doesn't have much inhibition about going up to a new kid and making friends. Here's a shot of him and his new friend in the pool. Zac kept telling me, "The pool has a heater in it Dad. It's really warm, come on in." I didn't. The final picture of the day comes under the category of, "Things we pay way too much for!"
We're supposed to have T-storms today, YEAH! : | pray for the sun.
